Foster Care Facts

- As of September 30, 2024, 328,963 children were actively in foster care.
- 2.5M are being raised in kinship families (GKSNetwork.org)
- 117,000 are waiting to be adopted (AdoptUSKids.org)

- 31-46% of youth who age out end up being homeless by age 26 (Youth.gov)
