Welcome to the Board

The National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) is looking for energetic individuals who would enhance the dynamics of the Board of Directors by bringing skill sets in one or more of following categories of Leadership, Governance, Computer & Marketing Skills, Finance, Programs, Events, and any other area that would help the NFPA further their mission.

The NFPA is a non-profit, volunteer organization established in 1972.  The mission of the NFPA is to be a respected national voice for foster, kinship, and adoptive families through networking, education, and advocacy.

The NFPA is currently in the third year of strategic planning and is making every effort to identify and fill gaps in areas to strengthen our team. We are looking to add 3 to 5 new Board Members to assist us in becoming a more diverse and energetic Board.

The National Foster Parent Association is a champion for the thousands of families that open their hearts and their homes to the over 400,000 children in out-of-home placement in the US. The NFPA believes in the importance of family-based care for foster children and that every child deserves support and a permanent family.
