Tammy Wells, Chair

  • Establishes a Compliance Officer
  • Compliance Officer receives and investigates any Whistle Blower complaints and reports to Directors
  • Monitors compliance of bylaws, policies and procedures, etc., to include required signed and filed policies for All Board Directors
  • Assist accountant in selecting auditor for annual audit
  • Ensures proper and timely submission of Form 990
  • Talks with auditor to get audit report and management letter, discusses the audit findings and management letter findings with the Directors
  • Audits expenditures for appropriateness and compliance with budget, makes recommendations to Finance committee when warranted
  • Ensures NFPA follows all required financial/audit policies required by federal and state guidelines


Thomas Rector, Chair

  • Preparation of annual budget
  • Resource development
  • Caregiver notes/logbook, other items for generating revenue
  • Ensuring funds are used wisely by Board and contractors
  • Monitoring budget
  • Recommending budget adjustments to Directors when appropriate


Mary Beth Dondiego, Chair

  • Bylaws/Articles of Incorporation
  • Reviews and updates to Board policies and procedures, forms, etc.
  • Board composition, Director recruitment, orientation for New Directors
  • Provisions of Conflict of Interest, Code of Ethics, and Whistle Blower policies to Directors annually
  • Director self-assessments
  • Director training/continuing education
  • Strategic planning and plan reviews
  • Revise, then distribute and collect NFPA Director/Committee Chair Quarterly Reports

  • Communications/Social Media
  • Conference planning and implementation
  • Helen Stone Scholarship
  • Youth Scholarships
  • Friends of NFPA
  • Overseeing membership list with Administrator
  • Setting dues and dues categories with approval of the Board of Directors
  • Responding to selected emails/calls from foster parents with assistance of State FPAs
